Other important information:  Polly is a sweet cat that loves to be petted and brushed – especially on her belly. She will turn over and enjoy the belly rub. After she gets to know you, she enjoys the company of people, and if you are watching TV, she sometimes comes over to sit next to you – again, wanting you to pet her. She is being fostered in a house with two other cats and a dog, along with two elementary-aged kids in the house. After a brief introduction period to the other cats, she gets along with them just fine. We feel that she would be best suited for a home where she can get the attention she deserves. As an older cat, Polly is also content with laying on her couch and blanket. If you sit next to her, she will start purring and head-bump you to start petting her. She doesn't like to climb stairs but will jump up and down from her couch. She has been known to play with catnip toys and chase the laser pointer – although at her age, she isn't as fast as her younger roommates, but she tries. Polly is in good health, spayed and up to date on her shots.

Note to potential adopters:  Most of our Cats either came from a pound, were abused, or abandoned (or all of the above!).  Animals that may at one time been housebroken or trained on a leash, may not be now because of the time they’ve been away from a stable environment.  We always ask that you give your adopted friend a fair chance to adjust to their new surroundings and to help them along with a regular schedule, and lots of your time and attention.  We believe our information is reliable, but it not guaranteed.

*Date of Birth is only an approximation.  Age is determined based on any available medical records or upon assessment by a vet.  Veterinarians are able to make an educated guess of age by examining a dog’s eyes, teeth, general health, etc
